SF Design Build was hired to remodel this pre-earthquake Victorian home in the Mission District of San Francisco.
We opened up the floor plan to make it more functional for a busy family of four, while maintaining much of the existing victorian charm. We took special care to re-use or match many existing details such as hardwood floors, doors, windows, trim, and ceiling medallions. The creative home owners chose many fun design details such as the colorful powder room tiles and unique paint details in the dining room.
Not shown in the photos, but worth noting, is the "secret" garage door on the first floor. We rebuilt the existing ground floor bay window with a custom frame and garage door device so the home owners have a large three car garage behind what looks like the original facade.
