SFDB is a San Francisco design-build firm specializing in whole-home renovations, additions, and structural expansions.

We handle architectural design, permitting, and construction as one coordinated process, helping homeowners transform and expand their homes with clarity and efficiency.

Many of our projects involve reconfiguring existing homes, adding square footage, or creating new living spaces. This often includes basement expansions, additional bedrooms and bathrooms, and ADUs.

Our approach is practical and streamlined, with a focus on strong layouts, natural light, and spaces that feel cohesive with the existing home.

We work best with homeowners who value a clear, guided process and are looking for a cohesive, well-executed result, rather than an open-ended or highly iterative design process.
